Midlands Lutheran Hospice and Dunbar Funeral Home-Northeast Chapel LUNCH, LEARN AND LIVE Grief and Loss Workshop Series
Dates: July 22, July 29, August 5 (All Thursdays)
Time: noon - 1 p.m.
Location: Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel (4219 Hardscrabble Road) in the Northeast area of Columbia. 
Details: Lutheran Hospice, along with Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, is offering a grief and loss workshop starting on July 22. The workshop’s goal is to provide a supportive and comforting environment in which grieving loved ones and friends can learn ways of coping with their loss, as well as gain support through the use of group process.  Three sessions are offered and participants are encouraged to attend each class if possible. Topics of discussion include: Healthy Grief, Complicated Grief and Lifelong Grief.  If you think you may benefit by gaining support from others who are also grieving, then please contact Nancy Rondeau of Lutheran Hospice at (803) 461-0456 or Kristin Jewel of Dunbar Funeral Home at (803) 788-9471. There is no cost for attending the workshop and confidentiality is assured! Lunch will be provided, however if your diet requires special attention, you are encouraged to bring your own bagged lunch.

Through the Valley Bereavement Support Group
Date: beginning Monday, May 24 (meets for 10 weeks)
Time: 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Location: The Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, 2600 Wade Hampton Blvd., Greenville, SC
Details: The target audience of this support group is adults who have suffered an adult loss, including a spouse, a parent, or a grown son or daughter. If you are interested, please contact Cindy Abrams, Lutheran Hospice Bereavement Coordinator at 848-1777 for more information and/or to sign up. Confidentiality is assured.
