Details: Losing someone you love or someone very close to you can be very painful. With this loss, you may experience different kinds of difficult and surprising emotions, such as shock, anger, and guilt. At times it may feel like the sadness will never stop. While these feelings can be overwhelming, they are normal responses to loss. Accepting these feelings and allowing yourself to accept what you feel is part of healing and the grieving process. There is no right or wrong way to grieve! Everyone grieves differently. Please join The Jewish Community Center and Lutheran Hospice (Gesher Program) for our monthly grief support group. Jerry Zucker Ride for Hope

Details: Registration is now open for the 2010 Charleston Ride for Hope now known as the Jerry Zucker Ride for Hope. George Hincapie will once again be participating in this event, which is the premier fundraising cycling event in South Carolina. The Jerry Zucker Ride for Hope raises funds to benefit charities involved in the fight against cancer. Lutheran Hospice has been a beneficiary of the ride for the past two years. “Lunch, Learn & Live” Grief and Loss Workshop

Details: Losing a loved one through death can be devastating. “Grief” is a normal response to this loss along with a full range of emotions and behaviors. If you think you may benefit by learning about grief and/or gaining support from others who are also grieving, then please register for a no cost 4-week series entitled “Lunch, Learn & Live.” Topics of discussion: Anticipatory Grief, Healthy Grief, Complicated Grief and Holiday Grief. The workshop will be presented at the Lutheran Hospice Support Office in White Rock, SC . Light refreshments will be provided. Attendee is encouraged to bring a bagged lunch. T
