History

Lutheran Hospice began as Lutheran Homes of South Carolina recognized a need for compassionate hospice care within our state. In 1995, Lutheran Hospice began administering person-centered care to people of all faiths and beliefs by crafting custom end-of-life plans that incorporate a patient's and their caregiver’s wishes, needs, and goals.

Currently serving all of South Carolina, our tenured staff has more than 300 years of combined service from three locally managed offices. All of our staff and volunteers work within their own community to offer their neighbors a unique method of care and support through what could only be referred to as a calling.
